Difficulty
Time
40 minutes
Crispy vegan börek rolls with potato or vegan cheese filling.
Ingredients
| 1 pack | triangular yufka pastry |
| 5-6 | floury potatoes |
| 1 | onion |
| 1 pack | Vegan white cheese |
| 1 handful | fresh parsley |
| 1/2 tsp | chili flakes |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | black pepper |
| 1 tsp | paprika powder |
| oil | for frying |
Preparation
1
Boil the potatoes, peel and mash them finely. Dice the onion and sauté in a little oil until translucent. Add the potatoes, briefly fry and season with 1 tsp each of salt, pepper and paprika powder. For the alternative filling, crumble the vegan white cheese and mix with chopped parsley and chili flakes.
2
Carefully separate the yufka sheets and lightly moisten them with water to prevent cracking. Place the filling near the edge and roll tightly into cigar shapes. Seal the ends with a little water.
3
Fry the sigara böreks in plenty of hot oil until golden brown on all sides. Drain briefly on kitchen paper and serve warm.
