Smashed Broccoli with Mangal Sucuk

Crispy oven-baked smashed broccoli with melted gouda and flavorful mangal sucuk – quick, easy and fu
Ingredients
| 2 | medium broccoli heads |
| 200ml | water |
| 4 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | garlic clove |
| 1 tbsp | salt |
| 1/2 | Juice of lemon |
| 100g | grated gouda cheese |
| Optional | chili flakes (pul biber) |
| - | Mangal sucuk |
Preparation

Wash the broccoli, cut into florets and cook with water and a little salt for about 5–7 minutes until slightly tender. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the florets on a baking tray lined with baking paper and gently flatten them.

Mix olive oil, garlic, salt and lemon juice and brush over the broccoli. Sprinkle grated gouda on top and bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese melts.

Grill or pan-fry the mangal sucuk and serve together with the smashed broccoli. Add chili flakes if desired.
