Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Moist carrot cake with orange zest and creamy Yayla cream cheese frosting – soft, aromatic and irres

Ingredients

150gsugar
1 zest of organic orange
200g grated carrots
50g chopped walnuts
2 eggs
120g sunflower oil
130g flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1.5 tsp cinnamon
80g powdered sugar
200g yayla cream cheese
1 tsp lemon juice
Deco White chocolate shavings

Preparation

Preheat oven to 180°C. Beat eggs, sugar, orange zest and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add oil. Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon, then fold in carrots and walnuts.

Bake for 20–30 minutes. Let cool completely. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and lemon juice and spread over the cake. Decorate.
